Job overview

We are looking for a fully qualified, autonomous Clinical Nurse Endoscopist to join our team at the Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in delivering high quality diagnostic & basic therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy.

The Trust has two purpose-built endoscopy units with the latest high-definition endoscopes. There are 7 consultant Gastroenterologists at the Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and 2 Clinical nurse endoscopists who work in conjunction with our surgical colleagues to deliver high quality diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy. We have a total of 4 endoscopy rooms (1 to be commissioned Autumn 24)  3 at the Hillingdon Hospital and 1 at the Mount Vernon Hospital. Cross site working is essential .

Main duties of the job

To perform autonomous diagnostic and basic therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopic examinations

To provide training for appropriate clinical staff in upper and lower GI Endoscopy

             To lead trans nasal Endoscopy services to support faster                               diagnosis targets

  • Advanced communication skills
