  • To support the Trusts’ in achieving compliance with Direct-to-Test, Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) and Referral to Treatment waiting time targets including 28 day Faster Diagnosis Service.
  • To support the Lower GI surgical care pathway in line with the Nurse Specialists Team.
  • To actively involved in Peer Review and to ensure mandatory measures for Peer Review are met with evidence e.g. from audits or research.
  • To be able to request and interpret investigatory results and determine next pathway stage; including discharge back to GP or referral to specialist services as required.
  • Holding additional specialist knowledge and experience to demonstrate a higher level of expertise in the delivery of diagnostic pathway, including LGI suspected cancer.
