Band 6 Clinical Research Practitioner/Nurse-Stroke
St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest healthcare organisations and has integrated with Community Services Wandsworth.
The Trust shares its main hospital site in south west London with St George’s University of London, and is linked to Kingston Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences. St George’s has an established national and international reputation as a leading hospital for specialist care including neurosciences, cardiac care, stroke and cancer.
We also provide excellent local care to the residents of Wandsworth, and regional care as both an acute, hyper acute stroke unit and trauma centre.
The Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) is a regional unit at St George’s Hospital providing acute care including 24/7 thrombectomy to stroke patients in south west London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
The Acute Stroke Unit (SU) provides ongoing acute stroke care and rehabilitation for patients local to St. George’s. The Trust also provides specialist rehabilitation through the Wolfson and Queen Mary’s units.
The stroke service is actively involved in stroke research and has an international reputation. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse to join the Stroke Research team. The St. George’s Stroke Research group is one of the leading sites in the country recruiting patients to NIHR adopted studies and industry studies.
