The EIPT is commissioned to provide and facilitate access to comprehensive, evidence based interventions under the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and non-CPA to clients aged between 14-65 who are experiencing or recovering from a first episode of psychosis.

N/ACare Programme Approach (CPA) is going to be soon replaced by DIALOG+ (flexible/personalised/safety planning care/collaborative working – what matters to the patient), latest May 2024. Training is provided to facilitate a smooth transition. Care Coordinators become Keyworkers.

The service endeavours to engage with individuals for up to three years and will prioritise strategies to provide an environment that promotes user involvement and recovery. The EIPT has close links to organisations including Primary Care, Community Mental Health Services, Children & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Inpatient wards and local Schools.
