Staff Nurse Targeted Lung Health Check Programme

Band 5

Trosolwg o'r swydd

Band5 Staff Nurse, Targeted Lung Health Check programme Fixed Term until 31st March 2026

The overall purpose of the Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) Programme is to enable the early detection of lung cancer in order to save lives. UCLH and NCL Cancer Alliance has identified high disease and smoking prevalence areas within NCL where a significant impact can be made from detecting early stage lung cancer.

We are looking for dynamic, values led nurses, to be involved in this new service, working as part of a nursing across 2 sites screening the public for lung cancer.  The successful candidates will have day to day responsibility of delivering clinics at one of our two clinic sites at Mortimer Market and Finchley Memorial Hospital and will report to the senior nurse for the TLHC service. With a 3rd site due to be open within the coming months.

If you are ready for the challenge, this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a unique service as it moves from a research project to a screening program pilot with a view to it becoming a national screening program at the end of the pilot.

We are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity.

We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates.

Interviews would be scheduled 5-10 days after the closing date.
