We are immensely proud of our Outstanding CQC rating for our maternity divisions.  As a key member of the private maternity team, we are seeking a dedicated Band 6 midwife who is passionate about continuity of care and is ready to embrace new challenges.
 
In this role, you will collaborate closely with a small team of midwives and Consultant Obstetricians, providing individualised, maternity care to our private clients.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

  • Caseload a small number of Private Patients within the team and provide all aspects of midwifery care to a dedicated group of women within the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal period including community.
  • Areas of work will include working within the caseload team and undertaking core shifts on the ward. You may be required to cross cover at the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington occasionally if support is required.
  • To ensure continuity of care we run our service with early, long days, nights, and weekends to cover the service. 
  • Support and work closely with the Obstetric colleagues to ensure care is safe and responsive. Liaising and escalating any concerns to ensure delivery of high standard care.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to manage patient care and ensure safety across maternity thus contributing to effective patient flow.
  • Promote and teach Bespoke1:1 antenatal class for patients on your caseload
  •  Undertake management duties within the team and department as required and support junior staff.
