Nurse Associate - Clinical Research
Band 4
Job overview
Are you a registered Nurse Associate looking for a new challenge? Then we have an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in clinical research.
Our team of children’s research nurses deliver world-class care to patients participating in clinical trials across our NIHR Clinical Research Facility (CRF), Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and Clinical Research Network: North Thames. Some of our recent successes include the Summit plc trial, to which the first two global patients were recruited in the CRF. The CRF has supported a BioMarin Pharmaceuticals sponsored clinical trial that has led to the clinical development and approval of a drug called VIMIZIM as a treatment for Morquio A syndrome. These successes demonstrate the importance of the research nurse contribution in continuing to deliver high quality and complex clinical studies for paediatric and rare diseases.

You will be responsible for the recruitment of participants, facilitation of the consent process, administration of the clinical interventions required as part of the study (e.g. non-intravenous medications, observing and responding to side effects (e.g. anaphylaxis), and ensuring the accurate collection and submission of data, in line with the study protocols and research regulations.
