Spinal Trauma Nurse Coordinator

- St Mark’s Hospital: an internationally renowned specialist centre for bowel disease

- Central Middlesex Hospital: our planned care site, hosting a range of surgical and outpatient services and collocated with an urgent care centre.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our large, supportive and friendly team within our Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward as a Band 7 Spinal Trauma Coordinator. Our Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward serves patients with a variety of needs, including elective surgery, urgent orthopaedic conditions and major trauma.
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
The post holder will coordinate trauma patient’s pathway on the ward to discharge and oversee the development and implementation of standards and protocols to underpin this. This involves working with multidisciplinary teams across all divisions in the Trust and with colleagues in network trauma units to ensure the best possible care of patients (both adults and children) who have sustained poly- trauma.

Qualifications

- Mentorship qualification or equivalent
- Relevant post registration clinical specialty qualification
- Formal management or leadership qualification or equivalent level of experience
Skills

- Substantive relevent post graduate clinical experience Band 6 or above
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- IT skills including basic knowledge of database collection, web base applications
