Job overview
RHRU is a 24 bed inpatient unit that offers intensive multi-disciplinary neuro-rehabilitation following acquired brain injury. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Registered Nurse who is keen to develop in a neurological team.
The Regional Hyper-acute Rehabilitation Unit (RHRU)(acute neuro) is looking to recruit a qualified Nurse with acute clinical skills. The post will involve providing clinical leadership and management support, developing and evaluating best practice within the unit and ensuring high quality and standards are maintained.
Main duties of the job
If you enjoy acute care combined with specialist rehabilitation nursing or would like a change in speciality, have excellent communication skills and are committed to delivering high standards, this could be an ideal opportunity for you.
The successful applicant would be working as part of a skilled interdisciplinary team specialising in Neuro-Rehabilitation and Hyper-Acute Neuro care. Providing holistic, patient centered, goal oriented rehabilitation programs to patients with a variety of neurological conditions. Educational support for the role exists both in house and externally. By joining us you will have the opportunity to help us achieve our goals and in return we will commit to your ongoing development to support your ongoing career progression. There is opportunity to specialise in the area of specialist medicine.

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree/Diploma in Adult Nursing
- NMC registration
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in a wide variety of clinical areas within secondary care
- Relevant post-qualification experience within acute clinical area(s)
- Acute Nursing Experience
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in teaching and supporting staff
Desirable criteria
- Experience of managing staff
- Quality and performance management experience
- Working knowledge of National Policies and Procedures across Health and Social Care and its local implementation or application
Skills, Abilities & Attributes
Essential criteria
- Excellent interpersonal skills and flexible working practice
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
