Trosolwg o'r swydd
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing care needs of a group of special care infants and their families without direct supervision.
He/she will provide a high standard of direct nursing care.
Supervision and support of junior and unqualified members of staff, assisting with their on-going development at all times.
The post holder will be an effective communicator, liaising closely with all service users in order to benefit the infants well-being
This is a development post, designed to provide an individual pathway to qualified Neonatal Nurse status
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
To provide full care to Special Care infants and their family
To participate in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care provided to individual infants and their families.
To ensure that parents/carers achieve confidence with assistance and support to enable them to care for their baby in preparation for discharge.
To safely administer prescribed medication and to monitor their effects
Respond to any adverse effects or deterioration in the baby's condition with appropriate degree of urgency and support the team when these situations occur

- RN/RSCN/RM
- Commitment to neonatal nursing. Ability to undertake specialist modules
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

- Working in the NHS. Knowledge of the function of a Neonatal Unit and recognition of problems areising from working in an intensivr,hot and high stress environment
- Computer skills
- Experience of working with various different background/cultures. Experience of working with parents sharing their babys care
