Trosolwg o'r swydd
- The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs for all patients, ensuring appropriately planned care is both implemented and evaluated.
- To provide specialist advice without direct supervision and to lead the multi-disciplinary team in the absence of the Team Leader.
- To assist in the leadership and development of an identified group of practitioners within the Department.
- The post holder will comply with the NMC or HCPC Code of Professional Conduct and demonstrates knowledge and application of Departmental and Trust policies and procedures.
- To be responsible for the storage of tissue/ organs in the department under the Human Tissue Act 2004, reporting of incidents and audit hta.gov.uk, following local policies deputising for the Band 7 as required.
- To participate in the on- call rota as required.
- To act as a Theatre Coordinator during out-of-hours and weekends.
- Internal rotation to night duty, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Scrub Deputy Team Leader at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead.
We are looking for a Band 6 nurses who are enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated in delivering an excellent patient care. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal, organisational, and clinical skills and they should be able to work in different scrub specialities and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team. You will be required to deputise in the absence of team leader and demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork skills. We are looking for candidates with extensive clinical skills in specialities such as CEPOD / Trauma, Colorectal / Robotics, Vascular, Urology, Renal / Robotics, Plastics / Breast, and Liver Transplantation. The candidates must always demonstrate the Trust World Class Care values.
We have Team Leaders, Practice Educators, and Matrons who can offer support to help develop staff. You will be expected to work weekdays, weekends, and nights according to the service needs.
Informal visits welcomed, come to see our theatre environment, and meet the team!

JOB SUMMARY:

- Mentorship Course (e.g. ENB 998, D32 D33)
Experience

- Significant experience in scrub and circulating practice (at Band 5 or above)
- Experience in managing junior staff including appraisal, performance, absence, selection and recruitment
- Budgetary experience particularly in staff and consumable costs
Skills & aptitudes

- Good written, numeracy & verbal communications skills
- Computer skills including cerner IT system
- Awareness of clinical issues within the theatre dept.
- Able to work as part of a team within set boundaries
- Able to prioritise workload
