They are seen, and treated, within the unit which boasts a separate waiting area for adolescents, a dedicated CAMHS room, a sensory treatment room and an HDU level bay within the department.

We also have 2 separate resuscitation bays for critical paediatric patients and a close working relationship with The South Thames Retrieval Service. We have a separate stream for children to be seen in our Urgent Treatment Centre which is also based within the department. This is staffed by Paediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioners and GP's who have a supported working relationship with the Paediatric ED team.
