Staff Nurse

NHS AfC: Band 5

We are actively promoting flexible working options, helping you to manage a work / life balance

Trosolwg o'r swydd

We are excited to recruit  NMC Registered Band 5 Staff Nurses to Ward 29 at Leicester General Hospital.

A 21 -bedded acute admissions ward; which also incorporates an Emergency Urology Triage area.

Are you interested in a change and would like to gain experience in caring for urology patients post a variety of urological surgeries and techniques? If so,  we encourage you to apply. If you are seeking a challenge, and  want to work in a dynamic team,  this is an opportunity for you.

Our Urology Triage service is adjacent to the ward and there are ample opportunities for learning, assisting the medical team with triage-based urological interventions and developing your nursing and leadership skills too.

We require a dedicated and enthusiastic workforce committed to leading the way in innovative healthcare. If you have got the right expertise, passion and personality with ambition  to work  differently,  we welcome your application.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).We have four primary goals:

  • high-quality care for all,
  • being a great place to work,
  • partnerships for impact, and
  • research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

  • we are compassionate,
  • we are proud,
  • we are inclusive, and
  • we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
