•    Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.
•    Specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
•    Community physical health and well-being services for children and adults.

The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,000 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. Would you like to be part of an adolescent mental health service which is innovative, forward-thinking and committed to enabling young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties to recover and discover their potential?

We are seeking to appoint a Health Care Assistant

We are looking for Health Care Assistants with caring, compassionate natures, who are innovative, creative, flexible and highly motivated. You need to have a genuine interest in working therapeutically with young people who are experiencing a variety of mental health difficulties. You should be a good communicator and team player, with the successful applicant joining a multi-disciplinary team of professionals working in a specialist residential service.

The successful applicant will be involved in providing a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for the resident young people, whilst providing support to individual young people and their families. The role is highly challenging and there is an emphasis on further training, as well as professional and personal development.

Young people’s mental health is a specialist field that will provide you with a highly challenging and very rewarding career. Regular clinical supervision and support will be provided.

The service is committed to young people’s participation in decision making and we would expect applicants to support collaborative working with young people. The selection and appointment process will involve Young People who have experience of using CAMHS services.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
