We are a friendly and supportive team that offers a flexible and comprehensive induction. All staff will have a supernumerary period flexible dependent on previous experience.

Main duties of the job
You will deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional dependent on setting) with a focus on promoting health and independence
You will have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS Values. You will work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual.
You will carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or other registered care professional’s dependent on setting

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Contribute to the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care to meet patients’ needs in accordance with agreed local and national standards and evidence-based guidelines under supervision.
-Support and provide patient education and health promotion.
-Support the delivery and co-ordination of care, through appropriate professional practice.
-Contribute to the management of risk and maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
-Assist in setting, monitoring, and maintaining standards of care to improve the patient experience and outcome of care.
-Communicate all relevant information to the multidisciplinary team internally and with external organisations as required, to ensure seamless care.
-Maintain accurate and complete records of all care activities, in a timely manner, adhering to local and professional standards for documentation.
-Act as a role model, presenting a positive image of self, team, and the organisation.
-Promote equality in care and practice by recognising, respecting, and meeting the needs and choices of individuals.
-Ensures environment of care is safe, well equipped, and compliant with standards for hygiene and cleanliness.
-Maintain and develop own professional competence and skills within scope of role.
-Actively participates in the appraisal and Personal development planning process as reviewee.
-Proactively supports Trust wide or local changes and developments in nursing practice e.g intentional rounding, alcohol screening as directed etc.
-Actively try to resolve issues and complaints at local level and then report the outcome to line manager
Person specification
Qualifications & Education
Essential criteria
- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification
- GCSE Grade A-C or Grade 4 or above in Maths & English or skills level 2 Maths & English or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Good Information Technology skills
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience working in a healthcare environment as part of a team.
- Proven competency of assisting with a core range of physical measurements
Desirable criteria
- Experience of using clinical systems –e.g. Quadramed
