This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Nursing Associate to work in the speciality of Respiratory Medicine. The post will involve working within Ward D4 providing acute respiratory care, therefore we are looking for individuals who aspire to deliver the best possible care to patients who are requiring a period of assessment, treatment and discharge .
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Nursing Associate to work in the speciality of Respiratory Medicine. The post will involve working within Ward D4 providing acute respiratory care, therefore we are looking for individuals who aspire to deliver the best possible care to patients who are requiring a period of assessment, treatment and discharge .
About our wards-
D4 is a 27 bedded mix sex respiratory care unit and is the largest of the respiratory wards in the trust. Patients may be suffering from a variety of conditions therefore you will apply the knowledge you have acquired during your training to holistically assess the patient when receiving them onto the ward. You will be responsible for a small team of patients, delivering a treatment plan to support their recovery or until they are stable enough to be transferred to a less acute ward. You will be supported by a team of Band 5 and 6 nurses and shift leads.
The posts will include rotation on to days and nights covering 7 day working.

The unit is also developing plans for an High Dependency Respiratory Care Unit within the Division and this is something you be will be able to develop towards working within.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
In order to ensure you are able to deliver the best possible patient care, while enjoying a challenging role you will be supported daily by an experienced team of band 5 and 6 nurses. Additionally you will undertake specialist Respiratory care training enabling you to delver care only a select few nurses in the trust can.
