We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced NMC Registered Midwife to join our maternity team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in the specialist role of Lead Bereavement Midwife.

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic registered midwife to join us in this senior role where you will work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team and with external agencies to provide high-quality, safe and compassionate individualised care - making a real difference to families and services.

This is a fantastic chance for a midwife with experience in bereavement care, or someone with a keen interest and desire for development, to join a well-established maternity unit with an excellent reputation in our community and a strong leadership team focused on supporting staff to fulfil their potential. • Lead on implementation of the North West Stillbirth Guidance and develop and implement processes for the Saving Babies Live Care Bundles.
• To deliver safe, personal, effective and compassionate care to bereaved parents and parents facing painful decisions during pregnancy.
• To be a resource within the Trust in developing excellence in bereavement care.
• To lead, develop and coordinate the bereavement care service in maternity services.
• To be responsible for the training requirements, create learning environments and participate in research to ensure a quality and patient focused service.
• Through effective clinical leadership and positive role modelling, inspire, motivate and empower others.
• To be highly visible in the clinical area and to be accessible to patients, their relatives and staff.
• To be responsible for monitoring standards within the bereavement service, ensuring Trust policies and procedures are up to date to protect patients' safety.
• To ensure own personal competence and uphold Trust values and behaviours.
