We are seeking a motivated and experienced midwife to lead our Perineal Public Health Service. This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and passionate team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust as we continue to expand and develop our maternity services.

We are looking for knowledgeable and confident midwives who will work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe, and compassionate individualised care - making a difference to families and outcomes.

The applicants will demonstrate experience in all aspects of midwifery and have the ability to work with us across our services in antenatal, consultant and midwife-led intrapartum, and postnatal care.

As the Perineal Pelvic Health Specialist Specialist Midwife you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the GMEC Wave 3 Perinatal Pelvic Health Service  implementation programme in line with the National PPHS service specification and Implementation Guidance, working in conjunction with physiotherapy services to support a network approach to the programme.

You will provide specialist high quality care to ensure that all pregnant women receive advice and support to prevent pelvic health problems, and that those with problems are offered all conservative treatment options before surgery is considered, in line with NICE Guidance.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide midwifery care as per Nursing and Midwifery Council regulations and Trust policies.

You will practice competently and autonomously to provide a high standard of evidence-based and personalised advice, support, and clinical care to women and their babies during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.

The midwife will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), other agencies, and service user representatives.
