We are having an open day on 30th November 2024, at Westview Community Hospital Plummer Lane, Tenterden. TN30 6TX for new roles at 2 of our community hospitals - Westview in Tenterden and Hawkhurst (TN18 4PU).
We have the opportunity for you to be part of our ward in Hawkhurst Hospital working with an established team OR part of developing a new ward at Westview (Benenden East) in Tenterden!
The majority of our patients here require further support in becoming as independent as possible before going home and have been

We have daily MDT board rounds, safety huddles and use EPMA for medication administration

Main duties of the job
Our community hospital Healthcare Assistants provide essential care in an in-patient setting. The work you do will be crucial to the running of our hospital and the recovery of our patients.
As a community hospital Healthcare Assistant, you'll:
- Work as part of a team to provide care to local patients and families
- monitor the quality of care they're receiving
- provide feedback to managers on the quality of care.
Your patients could be any age, but they'll often be elderly, while others may have been recently discharged from acute hospital, be terminally ill or have physical disabilities.
As a Healthcare Assistant you will work as part of a team to keep people safe and well during their stay. You will carry out care plans designed to support people and make sure that people who use our services have a good experience.
Additional Working Pattern: Working a mix of long days, early and night shifts over a 7 day roster

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Relevant level 2 qualification (NVQ / QCF certificate of care / apprenticeship) or equivalent Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths)
Experience

- Experience in a health or social care setting Experience of working as part of a team
Desirable criteria
