Registered Nurse - Outpatients Department

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Registered Nurse to our Outpatients Department.  We are a busy and dynamic department. We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive individual to join us in providing high quality and compassionate care.

You will need to have excellent clinical skills, be adaptable to change and be able to complement and support the existing team of nurses and doctors. You will need to have current acute experience in a ward or department setting. At interview, you must be able to demonstrate sound clinical knowledge as well as knowledge of current healthcare initiatives.

Please note that applicants who proceed to interview will be expected to undertake and achieve a 95% pass mark on a basic drug calculation paper and patient assessment paper.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder is responsible for providing all aspects of patient care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. 
The post holder will carry out all forms of care without direct supervision and assist with the training and supervision of qualified and unqualified staff, under the guidance of the Senior Sister.
They will work in the clinics in the Main Outpatient Department, including Fracture and Empress clinics, at Darent Valley Hospital. 
The post holder will manage a clinic area on a regular basis, and will be required to manage the department on an occasional basis.

Carries out all forms of care without direct supervision and assists with the training and supervision of qualified and unqualified staff, including students, under the guidance of the Senior Sister or Deputy.

To work across Outpatient Clinics on all Trust sites, as required by the service.

Is expected to manage the department on an occasional basis.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Evidence of professional development.
  • Evidence of current Supervisor role with Students.

KNOWLEDGE

EXPERIENCE

  • Post registration experience in an acute NHS setting.

  • Evidence of complex wound management (ideally plastics or vascular)
