We are seeking an individual, who has a passion and interest for education and development, to join our dynamic, friendly and innovative team. A working knowledge and experience of clinical apprenticeship programmes would be desirable.
Main duties of the job
The post holder should also have experience of supporting learning and development in clinical practice settings, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, facilitate and develop learning in clinical practice.
This opportunity is to cover the current post holder on maternity leave for 1 year.
This post will have a particular focus on the support of clinical apprentices including Registered Nurse Degree (RNDA), Trainee Nursing Associates (TNA), AHP (Allied Healthcare Professionals) and Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP). In partnership with the relevant clinical and education leads they will contribute to developing a health workforce that has the right skills, behaviours, and training available in the right numbers, to support the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement. The post holder will directly line mange a cohort of apprentices through their learning journey.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Key areas to this role:
Support the Professional Development Lead with the management, co-ordination and evaluation of clinical apprenticeship programmes across the Trust.
Support the recruitment and retention and line management of clinical apprentices as detailed in the Learning, Education and Development Plan.
Build strong relationships with apprentices, Placement areas, Practice Development Facilitators and Higher Education institutes, to monitor progress and compliance with the Learning Agreement.
Build excellent working relationships with all Clinical Apprenticeship Education Providers.
Work collaboratively with the Learner Placement Manager to ensure that all apprenticeship programme requirements are met.
Demonstrate ability to manage complex workload and potentially conflicting priorities in supporting multiple apprenticeship initiatives at any one time.
Support in the management and delivery of the practice supervisor and assessor programme.
Line manage a cohort of apprentice nurses throughout their programme of learning.
Contribute to internal department and wider organisational reporting on apprenticeships.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of delivering education and training either 1:1 or in groups
- Proven experience of managing projects which have had an organisational impact
- Proven experience of working collaboratively and effectively within a multiprofessional environment
- Demonstrable involvement in service development issues and change management
- Current working knowledge of the NHS including current national initiatives concerning health education Hold a recognised teaching or education qualification.
- Evidence of post qualifying study at HEI level 6/7
- Evidence of a commitment to professional development
Desirable criteria
- First level Degree (level 6)
- Hold a current registered professional qualification with either the HCPC or NMC.
- Evidence of clinical currency
- Proven experience of supervising and assessing practice in a multi-professional practice environment
- A recognised teaching or practice education qualification at HEI level 7
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
