We are recruiting for a Clinical Skills Trainer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
An exciting opportunity has risen for a self-motivated and dynamic individual to join our education team to assist with the planning, organisation, and delivery of our undergraduate medical student training programme.
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with a keen interest in education and is dedicated to the clinical development of medical students and staff to provide safe, high-quality care to patients.
You will need to be able to work autonomously, have excellent communication and organisation skills, be able to demonstrate an ability to teach, assess and develop others, an ideal opportunity for those who want to develop further within education.

Main duties of the job
You will deliver a clinical skills and practical procedures programme to undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
You will be responsible for teaching a wide range of practical procedures and develop teaching methods in all aspects of clinical skills.
You will assist and actively participate in simulation teaching with the simulation faculty.
This post supports the delivery of high quality medical education, through the organisation, co-ordination and management of educational learning events.
As a Clinical Skills Trainer you will be a registered Registered Nurse delivering clinical training to our undergraduate medical students, which includes assessing students in clinical practice, and other multi-professional staff within the Trust.
You will have involvement with Simulation training for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical programmes.

- Registered General Nurse / Paramedic / ODP Practice Assessor / mentorship / Teaching and Assessing qualification
- Evidence of continuous professional development

- Award in Education & Training L3
- Certificate in Education & Training L4
- Diploma in Education & Training L5 or 6
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a healthcare environment
- Significant post registration clinical experience in an area supporting learners
- Experience of identifying and assessing learning needs
- Experience of delivering training
- Expert level knowledge of clinical practical procedures
Desirable criteria

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
