We are recruiting for a Midwife who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We are proud of the range of maternity services we provide and the excellent high quality care we give to the women, babies and their families. Our facilities are state of the art, with bright airy modern rooms and an alongside midwifery led birthing unit.
You'll be working as a midwife, according to the World Health Organisation, Local Supervising Authority, and the Nursing and Midwifery Council's Midwives Rule and Code of Practice.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the holistic care of childbearing patients and their families. Care provided must be evidence based and planned in partnership to meet the needs of the patient.
You are required to use the full range of midwifery skills in a variety of settings. Need to be aware of National/Local health initiatives and develop strategies for the delivery of Health Promotion to meet the needs of the patient.
You will deputise for all aspects of the work of the Band 7 midwife and participate in the development and teaching of staff and students.

Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
- Registered Midwife
- Willingness to undertake further professional development.
- Willingness to undertake a recognised course of study in teaching and assessing,
- Educated to 1st degree level/Diploma level
- Evidence of professional development
Desirable criteria
- Awareness and participation in units innovations & audit
- Evidence of ongoing personal development and education ie preparation for the Mentorship and Preceptorship course and other relevant courses.
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of experience and ability to utilise the full range of midwifery skills required to work across the whole aspect of midwifery services.
Desirable criteria
