Training and Qualificationa

Essential criteria

RGN/Dip HE in Child Health/RM/ RSCN (2)
Currently practising as a neonatal nurse (2)
Neonatal Intensive Care course/ENB 405or equivalent (2)
Mentorship course or equivalent (2)

Desirable criteria

Management Course (2)

Experience and Knowledge

Essential criteria

A minimum of 2 years Neonatal experience (2)
Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a group of infants. (2)

Desirable criteria

Currently practising at band 5 with regular supervised “in charge” shifts.
Experience of change management (2)

Skills and Ability

Essential criteria

Ability to act as a role model (2)
Teaching and assessing skills (2)

Working Patterns

Essential criteria

Willing to undertake internal rotation onto nights. (2)
