Job overview
We are really excited to be looking for a Deputy Team Leader ENT to work alongside our Team Leader. You would be responsible for leading and managing the service within the department effectively and to deputise in their absence.
To manage general resources, both personnel and financial, to ensure the effective operation of the department.
The successful candidate will provide skilled specialist assistance in the delivery of high-quality patient care throughout the ENT Department. The post holder will be committed to providing research and evidence-based practice whilst working as part of, and leading, a multi professional team.
Main duties of the job
Day to day Supervision:
- Regularly responsible for the professional /clinical supervision of a number of staff or students.
- Delegating or allocating work and checking for quality and timely completion
- Refer concerns to line manager e.g. performance, attendance or conduct
Day to day Management:
Regularly responsible for reviewing work performance, progress, work allocation and checking for quality and timely completion, undertaking appraisal reviews, acting as a panel member for recruitment and selection, undertake the initial stages of staff management by applying HR policies e.g. Grievance, conduct and capability.
We have a Practice Development Team who are invested in supporting the development of our team. This role would give someone the opportunity to develop and grow their leadership skills, with the support of their Team Leader. - Professional UK registration eg NMC, HCPC
- Post registration course in field of expertise
- Mentorship Award / ENB 998 / TLDB Assessor D32 / 33 / 34 / A1 or City & Guilds 730 Teaching Award or equivalent experience
