We are looking for a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse for E3 Ward based at our Basingstoke Hospital
You will be willing to help lead our team to provide high quality, safe nursing care to respiratory patients working closely alongside the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure optimal care, utilising evidence based practice and treatment modalities.
Main duties of the job
What we are looking for:
- Enthusiasm, passion and a desire to provide excellent nursing care for our patients.
- Experienced nurses with an interest in acute medicine, respiratory and end of life care.

- Enhanced skills in Respiratory Care including the use of Non-Invasive Ventilation and looking after patients with alternative airways.

Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Professional UK registration e.g. NMC, HPC
- Project managament experience
- Formal training &/or experience in mentorship
Desirable criteria
- Enhanced communication courses
- Additional Post graduate learning in specialist field including masters degree or working towards
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Significant post reg experience (1) acute experience (1)
- Evidence of implementing significant changes or service developments that promote good practice
Desirable criteria
- ILS course
- Experience of project management for policy development or large scale projects
Skills & Ability
Essential criteria
- Ability to lead mdt and organise shift
- Able to deliver formal and informal learning sessions to all groups of professionals
Desirable criteria
- Highly specialised skills in respiratory
- Ability to problem solve

- Highly self motivated and efficient
