We are looking for an enthusiastic senior Band 6 Health Visitor/School Nurse/Paediatric Nurse/Midwife to join our well established Safeguarding Children Team. The role will support the team in providing safeguarding children advice, supervision, and training to HHFT staff whilst supporting the Named professionals in ensuring the Trust meets its responsibilities to safeguard children.
As the Trust move to an all age Safeguading Provision, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop learning to support the adult team in also delivering support across the Trust. An extensive experience of working with families will support the candidate as they move into a multi-agency safeguarding role. There will always be the opportunity to learn as Safeguarding is an ever evolving area and at Hampshire Hospitals we promote a culture that protects a person's right to be safe from abuse and neglect.

Working alongside the Specialist Practitioner and Specialist Midwife Safeguarding Children in providing a robust Health Liaison process is in place within the Trust
To ensure appropriate and proportionate information is shared with health partners where it is identified that a child may be at risk of harm
To promote the sharing of information with agency partners as d
To provide guidance to staff with regard safeguarding children practices and processes
Provide ongoing support to families wishing to seek emotionally and psychological support by signposting to local and national support services Developing specific expertise in children’s health and development, child maltreatment and local arrangements for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Contributing to the safeguarding children training strategy, facilitating, and delivering the safeguarding children training within the Trust.
Support the Named Nurse and team in reporting on serious incidents including serious case reviews and responding to complaints
