Do you want to work with an enthusiastic team building on your palliative care skills?  The Community Palliative Care team in Basingstoke  is looking for Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their team.. See below for what we are looking for in an individual.

The delivery of a high quality, effective and compassionate care is essential to our organisation.

The palliative care service operates over 7 days.

Main duties of the job

What we look for:

  • Someone who is enthusiastic about working with patients and their families with complex palliative care needs.
  • Someone with experience in palliative care and who is keen to continue to develop is essential.
  • Someone who understands that education for Health care professionals, patients and their families is key to the role and would be willing to be involved in delivering education.
  • Someone who works well in a team but also able to work autonomously.
  • We are open to accept applications from band 6 or 7

Essential criteria
  • NMC registration
Desirable criteria
  • At least 3 years palliative care experience

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of AA Masters degree or evidence of working towards a Masters degree in palliative care
Desirable criteria
  • Non-medical prescriber

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of staff supervision and mentorship including, employee relations, performance, conduct and training needs analysis
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of implementing a change to promote good practice
