North Cotswolds Hospital is a purpose-built hospital on the outskirts of Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire. It is set in a beautiful location close to borders with Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

We provide 22 inpatient beds delivering sub-acute care, rehabilitation and end of life care in a friendly, warm and welcoming environment.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Nursing Team on our Inpatient Ward. We are looking for a nurse with passion and commitment who holds patient experience and care at the heart of their nursing practice and who shares our organisational values.  All of this will feature largely in our short-listing and selection criteria.  In return we will offer you day to day support along with excellent training and a real commitment to your personal development plan with opportunities for continued professional development and study.

We welcome applications from both experienced Registered Nurses or newly qualified nurses and can also consider applications from individuals who would only be available to work night shifts. There are plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and further your career here at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.

If you are newly qualified, we are able to offer a supportive learning environment where you will be assigned a mentor who can help guide you through the first months of your nursing career. You will also be enrolled in our preceptorship programme which is the first step in developing your professional development.

For the more experienced nurse, we will support you in your clinical and managerial development to become a more autonomous practitioner, by providing access to academic programs. As a predominantly nurse led ward this means you will have greater autonomy and ultimately gain more job satisfaction by giving the best patient care.

As part of the nursing team you would work closely with the wider Multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Physiotherapists, allowing the care we deliver to be holistic and patient centred, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality care to our patients.

For an informal discussion or visit to the ward please contact Senior Sister, Emma Hamilton on 0300 421 8822 / 8823

We welcome applications from newly qualified nurses.

We have in excess of 5000 staff working over 50 sites, providing a diverse range of services. We strive to support an organisational culture that is welcoming, builds and celebrates inclusivity and diversity and provides a sense of belonging and trust.

The annual NHS Staff Survey gives our people the opportunity to tell us about their experience working at the Trust.  For the 2023 survey just over 2800 colleagues gave us their views (58.5%).   It was great to see from the results that colleagues are saying that:

  • 89.7% believe they are making a positive difference to patients/service users;
  • 73.3% would recommend the organisation as a place to work;
  • 82.4% agree that care of patients and service users is the organisations priority;
  • 76.7% would be happy with the standard of care for a friend or relative

Our results put us as 5th nationally as a Community, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities NHS Employer of Choice and 1st equal amongst all NHS Provider Trusts in the South West. However, we know we have more to do and will continue to drive forward our commitment to making GHC a Great Place to Work.
