- We run the COVID-19 vaccination programme across mid and south Essex and Suffolk and north east Essex.
EPUT was formed on 1 April 2017 following the merger of North Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (NEP) and South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT). A new leadership team was established at the Trust in 2020.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Immunisation team in administering the RSV vaccination to pregnant women in the Essex maternity units for until August 2025.
Opportunities will be available at the following locations and your preference will be discussed at interview.
- Basildon hospital
- Broomfield hospital
- Southend hospital
- St Michael's Birthing unit Braintree
- Colchester hospital
- Clacton hospital
We are currently awaiting guidance from JCVI to guide our preparations for the programme expected to start in September. There is the potential that guidance may not be received by the start date which may mean you will support other aspects of the immunisation service, as part of their flu delivery programme.

To offer and administer vaccinations to pregnant women in a variety of clinical settings. In addition to this you may need to support the wider immunisation service in times of need and whilst we await for further JCVI guidance.
Current guidance is for a fixed term contract until August 2025. however there is potential for this to be extended.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.

The post holder will work as an immunisation nurse within the Community and School aged Immunisation Service, supporting delivery of the immunisation programme.
They will be responsible for delivering safe and effective immunisations in hospitals, homes, schools, clinics and other community and clinic settings.
They may work with the Team Lead to improve vaccination uptake rates, providing health promotion to reduce inequalities and meet the needs of the community. They will support responses to outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases in the community as required.
