Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cardiology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our dynamic team.

If you have significant proven recent experience in cardiology nursing and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care, this could be the perfect role for you. 

You will independently manage and deliver services for the Rapid Access Cardiac Chest Pain Clinic.

It is expected that the CNS maintains skills in their field of expertise and contribute to service development and initiatives.

Consideration would be given to a Band 6 development role with progression to a band 7 after 12 months if there was a willingness to undertake the relevant study in that time frame.

Main duties of the job

Independently manage and deliver services for the Rapid Access Cardiac Chest Pain Clinic, ensuring timely, efficient, and compassionate care.

Competently interpret and analyse ECG results to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Use advanced clinical skills in assessment and non-medical prescribing to provide comprehensive care to. If applying as a development role, you should be willing to undertake the necessary courses to achieve these competencies.

Work closely with our Consultant team to develop and enhance cardiology services, bringing innovation and drive to the role.

Provide full clinical, educational, and counselling support to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.
