Job overview
The Nurse will support the clinical team in delivery of services, providing nursing care as a skilled member of the Minor Ops Team and carrying out all associated administration.
You will provide effective clinical support to ensure a safe pathway for patients through the clinic, ensuring conformity with CQC regulation and assisting in the delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered care.
This could be a part-time or full-time position.
Unfortunately this role does not offer sponsorship so we are unable to accept anyone without right to work in the UK or those who don’t have a valid and completed UK Registered Nurse status

Main duties of the job
- Work as a member of the Clinic Team in the smooth delivery of our services to patients, (including preparation and maintenance of minor ops room standards, patient care during surgery, provision of post-operative patient information, removal of sutures and provision of general clinical advice to patients and colleagues as required).
- Maintain close liaison with the Business Support Officers to ensure availability of drugs, consumable supplies and equipment.
- Assist in the processing of patient test results.
- Assist in the triage of patients who make post-operative enquiries.
- Carry out/contribute to regular audit and ongoing monitoring to ensure that all areas used by Provide Wellbeing services, conform to health & safety and infection control requirements.
- Support any clinical aspects of incidents/comments/complaints from patients and relatives in accordance with the organisation’s Complaints Procedure, supporting the implementation and review of actions and learning points.
- Support clinical supervision, where appropriate, to other members of the clinical team (i.e. HCA and Minor Ops Assistants), supporting relevant induction, training and ensuring performance is in line with Policy and Procedures and meets the Provide Wellbeing quality standards.
- Support delivery of Clinical Meetings.
- Provide cover for nurses in satellite locations as required.

It should be noted that Provide Wellbeing delivers services across multiple locations and this role will require some travel to cover clinics at other sites. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
Essential criteria
- Registered on Part 1 NMC register.
- Post holder should hold a suitable UK Drivers Licence.
WORK RELATED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Demonstrates understanding of minor ops environment and admissions criteria.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in minor ops/recovery/day surgery.
- Experience working in a community clinic.
- Experience of monitoring and reordering consumables and stock.
- Experience of carrying out audits.
SKILLS & APTITUDES
Essential criteria
- The ability to work as a team member, manage own workload & able to use initiative, with minimum supervision on a day to day basis.
Desirable criteria
- Use of SystmOne
- Post holder should be comfortable travelling to mulitple locations to cover clinics when appropriate.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
