Job overview
We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our enthusiastic and motivated Renal Unit based at Colchester Hospital.
You will have proven registered nurse experience in an acute environment, ideally within renal medicine
We will support you to develop skills in renal nursing. You can expect to work in a progressive and motivated team who will actively encourage your development.
Main duties of the job
To act as the named nurse and effectively manage the care of a group of patients with renal failure alongside the renal team within the Nephrology department.
To lead a team in the absence of the ward manager and /or deputy on a shift to shift basis
To provide supervision and guidance for other more junior members of the team

Knowledge

- Awareness and understanding of current Government/Trust initiatives/NMC Code of Conduct
- Knowledge and understanding of evidence based practice.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of developments in speciality and current issues driving nursing in general.
Experience

- Worked within the healthcare setting
Desirable criteria
- Experience in renal

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
