We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic registered nurse to join our team as a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse .

Working in stroke care is rewarding, and is a fast paced area delivering hyper- acute stroke care. Pasteur Ward is a 28 bed hyper-acute stroke unit which provides specialist treatment and care for patients immediately following a stroke; for the staff to deliver immediate hyper acute care for the first 72 hours post stroke.
We have 8 level 2 hyper-acute stroke monitored beds on Pasteur ward delivering care for the first 72 hrs of the patient’s stroke. and Acute stroke care (ASU )beds when fit to step down to ASU.
Main duties of the job
You will provide high standards of evidence-based patient centred stroke care and will assist in leading the nursing team to maintain the efficient running of the ward. You will also deputise in absence of Senior Sister on an acute Stroke Unit.
You will facilitate the daily running of the acute stroke unit whilst maintaining patient safety and effective flow.
Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of Governance systems in the ward/department relating to Risk Management, Health and Safety and Controls Assurance.
Promote and develop the use of evidence-based practice to improve the outcomes of patient care within the acute stroke pathway. Ensure all Trust Visions of care standards are adhered to.
