Job overview
Do you have a genuine passion for supporting people living with obesity? An exciting opportunity has arisen, for an enthusiastic and motivated band 4 Dietetic Associate Practitioner, to join our dynamic team within Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management.
The role will involve working with the Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to support patients to lose weight and improve their health and wellbeing. The role will involve providing tailored, evidence based Dietetic advice and support to patients who access the service. Clinical supervision and support will be provided by the Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management Dietitians.
This is a rewarding and challenging post and the postholder should ideally have experience of supporting patients living with obesity and complex health conditions. Excellent time management skills are an essential part of the role as is the requirement for accurate record keeping within electronic patient records.
Main duties of the job
The ability to use a range of communication methods and behaviour change approaches are also key attributes required for the role. The postholder should also have a good understanding of the complexity of obesity and the challenges associated with supporting people to implement dietetic changes.
You will be based in the vibrant, cultural city of Hull which is continuing to thrive and grow after being awarded City of Culture in 2017. The post will be based at Marfleet Health Centre in Hull, however the successful applicant will also be expected to work from various other bases across the city.
