Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential criteria

Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. Working Together, Childrens Act 1989, Care Act 2014
Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified service area.
Evidence of project work that has had a positive impact on service delivery
Professional qualification to degree level or Diploma level
Current registration on the NMC or Social Work England register

Desirable criteria

Evidence of contribution to research
Evidence of policy implementation and development
Working knowledge of Social Care/Health data bases
Advanced/expert clinical qualification
Adult Teaching qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

Evidence of sound post-registration professional practice
Demonstrable experience of recent working in the specific field where the post is held.
Able to demonstrate examples of positive impact/change within service delivery/practice at an advanced level.
Evident of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the service area to specialist level of post-graduate diploma or equivalent knowledge/experience learning
Evident of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development.
Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation.
To network locally and regionally

A breadth of professional practice including specialising in the field where the post is held

This post will be subject to successful completion of a 6 month probationary period where applicable, further details would be included within any offer letter.

Where operationally feasible the Trust supports agile working, there is an expectation of attendance of 1 day per week at a Trust site as a minimum operationally. Unless specifically stated in the advert that a role will have home as the base of work, all roles will have the option to work from a Trust base if remote working is not for you.

If required for the post the ability to commute within the Trusts geographical area with access to the appropriate means of transport would be essential.
