Job overview

The ESHT Rehabilitation strategy is focused on improving the quality and performance of our acute and community services to deliver high quality rehabilitation across East Sussex. This is a dynamic and changing environment, and the strategy is working to support our staff, teams and the organisation as a whole to make meaningful changes that bring about improvements in rehabilitation for the benefit of our population. The role of the band 6 nurse at Milton Grange is key in delivering our strategy.

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity for a B6 Sister or Charge Nurse to support the delivery of our rehabilitation strategy for Intermediate Care Services at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. This B6 role will support the development and leadership of the nursing team across our rehabilitation service at Milton Grange.

The role of the B6 is essential in supporting a robust governance structure on the unit in addition to managing operational tasks daily.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • RGN/RN on relevant part of register
  • Active Registration
  • Mentorship qualification ENB 998 or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Diploma or evidence of higher education

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Minimum of two years post registration experience at Band 5 level
  • Teaching in a clinical setting
  • MDT working
Desirable criteria
