Job overview

We are looking for dynamic, professional nurses to join our friendly and diverse endoscopy team in Brighton, on the sunny south coast. Please note: this is a fixed term post for 6 months.

We are a very busy unit, performing specialist procedures, emergency procedures and front line diagnostic procedures. We also run an out of hours  emergency on call service, which you will be part of once competent. In addition to four procedure rooms in Brighton, we  have one endoscopy room at the Princess Royal Hospital in Hayward's Heath, where you will be allocated to work on a regular basis.

Our normal working hours are currently Monday to Friday. We are currently looking for experienced endoscopy or day surgery nurses. We offer a comprehensive training package, enabling you to develop yourself, and the chance to be part of an exciting, innovative and ever changing service, providing first class specialist care to every patient who comes through our door.

If you think this could be the job for you, please take a look at the job description, and why not come and see us for an informal visit? We're very proud of what we do and will be delighted to show you around. Thank you for your interest.

We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses.

Main duties of the job

  •  Care for all patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
  • Assist the endoscopist during endoscopic procedures.

  • Work across site when necessary.
  • Work as the nurse in charge in our Digestive Diseases OPD when required.
  • Participate in on-call duties to facilitate an emergency endoscopy service.
  • Maintain clinical & professional responsibilities in the unit

Our endoscopy team consists of people from all over the world, coming together and working towards one goal - to provide a first class service to all our service users. We are a friendly and supportive group of hard working professionals who work well as a team, whilst respecting and encouraging individual skills and attributes. We are keen on promoting self development and encourage all our staff to take advantage of as many training opportunities as possible,  to help them to develop further. After hours we often meet to socialise and let our hair down, and our Christmas parties are legendary!

We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses.
