With a budget of around £365m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic registered nurses to join Endoscopy and Bowel Cancer Services Department within the trust. This is a part time permanent post on call Endoscopy experience preferred but not essential
North Tees and Hartlepool endoscopy units are recognised for providing both high level quality care to our patients and exceptional learning opportunities for all members of the team
The successful candidate will work in all areas of the department including 24 hour emergency on call at both the North Tees and the Hartlepool site
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work within a multidisciplinary team and across clinical boundaries in support of patient care. Good communication is essential as you will be expected to communicate effectively with patients their relatives and carers and other professionals working in the trust.

Essential criteria
- 1st level Registered Nurse/Degree/Diploma in Nursing with current NMC PIN
Desirable criteria
- Teaching and assessing qualification. Meets requirements for mentorship development
Experience

- post registration experience in clinical practice Evidence of on-going professional development
Desirable criteria
- endoscopy experience
Skills/ aptitudes
Essential criteria
- Good time management and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team and independently using own initiative delegate appropriately
