Our At Risk Mental State (ARMS) team is expanding, and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader to join!

The At Risk Mental State (ARMS) is a specialist mental health service based on NICE-recommended interventions, including comprehensive psychological assessment and interventions for ARMS/ psychosis and co-existing mental health problems (depression, anxiety, emerging personality disorder, substance misuse). These are supported with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, family interventions, care coordination, social prescribing, and education/employment support.

As a Team Leader you will manage, clinically lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team providing effective evidence based mental health care to service users with mental health needs, relatives and carers. You will contribute to effective, multi-disciplinary working within the team and maximise opportunities for effective collaboration and integration between agencies across Dorset including primary care in the best interests of the service users and carers. Ensuring this approach so that physical, mental and social agencies are working together in providing holistic care to individuals referred.

This is a full time Monday to Friday 9:00-17:00 role, opportunities may be considered for flexible working. Being a driver is essential for this role.

Main duties of the job

You will liaise and communicate effectively with all those involved in the care process, including carers and relatives, aspiring to develop and provide a seamless and integrated service to every service user seen by the team.

You will carry a small clinical caseload, and act as care coordinator, providing care management arrangements and receiving clinical supervision in line with Trust policy.

You will manage and provide support and advice to DHC staff in the management of cases, aiding their development and ensuring they are supported, and a consistent approach is adopted to patient care, whilst ensuring policy and procedures are implemented and adhered to professionally.

You will ensure service delivery is of a high professional standard and support the Service Lead, Directorate and Trust with the implementation of mental health strategy.
