Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our County South Community Leadership Team during a time of transformation.
The post holder will cover the operational management of the Physical Health Monitoring Clinic for a 12 month period to cover maternity leave. You will be supporting the team with clinical skills and knowledge and undertaking supervisions and appraisals.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job
- Managing and co-ordinating the daily running of the team to ensure a safe and efficient service is delivered
- Reviewing NICE guidance and SOP
- Providing managerial and clinical supervision to all staff within the team
- Ensuring targets are met
- Supporting students offering learning experiences
- Accountable for team’s financial budget
- Day-to-day line management of PHMC team- including staffing levels, annual leave and sickness
- Reviewing complaints and incidents
- Working in partnership and liaising with professionals to improve services
- Work flexibly to ensure needs of patients and staff are met

Training, Qualifications and Registration
Essential criteria
- Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the relevant professional body, eg NMC/HCPC
Desirable criteria
- Management/Leadership Qualification
- Mentoring qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Recent and relevant experience of working as a Band 6 or equivalent in a mental health community setting
- Experience of working with people who have severe and enduring needs
- Experience of supervising junior staff and students
- Ability to manage complex and sensitive information using well-developed motivational and negotiating skills, representing the nursing service in a variety of different situations
