Start dates will be staggered over the coming months to aid the integration into the role and teams.

Working as part of a healthcare team and under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe and compassionate patient care.

Main duties of the job

As part of your role you will be supported to complete the national Care Certificate for support staff. Completion of the certificate is essential and requires you attending a 9 day programme which is delivered Mon-Fri when you start at the Trust.

For staff who have a part time contract you will need to be able to attend the programme over a 37.5hr week and your time will be paid for. NB if anyone has any restrictions due to carer's duties or other commitments, please discuss this at interview so we may find a solution to be able to offer support through a flexible route.

Following the taught programme you will be supported in practice to achieve the care certificate competencies within 12 weeks. If you are unable to achieve completion this may effect your employment in the trust.

All candidates are also required to register for their Level 2 Adult Care within the first 6 months of employment and complete within 12 months.
