Job overview

Following a staffing review, and an increase in staffing numbers we are excited to offer this opportunity for experienced band 5 Registered Nurses in Emergency care. 

This role is ideal for those who are keen to advance their experience in within a dynamic setting of the Emergency Department.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 5 in the Emergency Department you will rotate to work in all areas of the department, ensuring patients are seen and treatment is given within national targets. you will be an advocate for the patients and ensure their safe transition through the department

  • Conflict Resolution Training
  • Manchester Triage Training

Experience

  • Recent ED experience
  • 1 Year Band 5 Experience
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of patient safety
  • Paediatric ED experience

Skills

  • Venepuncture / Cannulation
  • ECG skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Motivation to learn new skills
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Audit & Quality issues
  • Understands and participates in evidence-based practice
