INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) EMPLOYEES ONLY

District Nurse Team Lead

Expressions of Interest are invited for a 6 week secondment into the role of Band 7 Community Nursing Team lead in Eden ICC.

An opportunity has arisen for a secondment into the Community Nursing Team lead role in Eden ICC.  Candidates must have the SPQ or be working towards this qualification.

Are you a leader or aspiring leader with excellent clinical skills and experience?

Do you want to work with and lead a well-established community nursing team in the beautiful Eden Valley in Cumbria? If you are innovative, have the skills and attributes  required to meet the role of a senior nurse and want to play a part in the continued success & development of a team recently described as providing outstanding patient care,  then we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Band 7 Community Nursing  Team Leads in Penrith, and the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Team Leads. Collectively as the senior leadership team  for the ICC  you will manage, lead and inspire an integrated team of community nurses and therapists.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

This role requires you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge to deliver high quality patient care, supporting patients with long term conditions and  complex needs across Eden,  along with managing the unique challenges this rural area poses. The role will also require you to provide clinical leadership and operational management of the community nursing team along with the management of the clinical caseload for the team.

Integrated Care Communities (ICC's) aim to address the challenges of an aging population and increasing demand on health and care services by providing more out of hospital care and empowering people to take control of their health and wellbeing. This will require new ways of working to focus on preventing ill health and ensure services are sustainable for the future. These new ways of working will follow the same approach across all eight ICC's in North Cumbria with flexibility to tailor services to the needs of the local population.

We are able to provide an individually tailored preceptorship programme for the successful candidate.
