Nurse Degree Apprentice
Exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual who is currently employed within cardiology as a healthcare assistance with a minimum of 1 years experience with the trust . The individual should be enthusiastic, hard working and well organised, with an ability to adapt to new situations and willing to learn new skills and willing to complete nursing degree apprenticeship course.
Main duties of the job
Work as a student nurse along side registered nurses and the Multidisciplinary team as a whole.
Provide good quality care for patients within their care in variety of settings
Willing to complete all academic requirement set out by Open University and be self motivated

The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children therefore if the post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended) the successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:
Standard Check: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- • GCSE Maths & English at Grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2 or Equivalent. (certificates will need to be provided as proof
- • Care Certificate
- • Evidence of study at level 3.
- • Undertake and achieve the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- • Demonstrable understanding of the extent of the role.

Experience

- • At least 12 months experience or minimum 500 hours working for NCIC within the last year

- • Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information

- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
