Clinical Supervisor

Job overview

As a Clinical Supervisor for immunisations, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the delivery of COVID-19 and other vaccinations and other healthcare interventions across Cornwall. The post holder will undertake a clinical supervisory role, overseeing a team of Immunisers, and an operational role, delivering healthcare interventions.

Main duties of the job

  • Be the named supervisor for vaccination and healthcare clinics.
  • With respect to the national protocols, be the formal clinical supervisor in charge of the vaccination process.
  • Working under national protocols, patient group directions and patient specific directions to clinically assess patients and administer vaccines and other treatments as appropriate.
  • Ensure that clinics are running safely and are following the most up to date guidance regarding vaccination.
  • Support other health initiatives as part of ‘making every contact count’ and wider health improvement initiatives
