The Acute & Emergency Medicine Care Group covers Stroke, Eldercare, Acute Medicine and the Emergency Department.
A Healthcare Assistant is no ordinary job and it is not for an ordinary person. We need caring, supportive people who love helping others and can come to work with a positive attitude and a friendly smile. Person specification
Healthcare Assistant Band 3 - Education, Qualifications & Relevant Experience
Essential criteria
- GCSE Maths & English, or Equivalent
- NVQ 2 in Health Care, or Equivalent
- Clinical skills e.g. venepuncture, blood transfusion, aseptic non touch technique
- Previous experience in a care setting
- Previous hospital experience
Desirable criteria
- NVQ 3 in Direct Care
Skils
Essential criteria
- Computer literate
- Competent in English language - written and verbal
- Adaptability to cope in changing workload
- Able to work in team environment
