An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the therapy and nursing team at Marie Therese House neurological rehabilitation unit in Hayle, Cornwall.

We are a small team , the unit has  12 beds all single rooms most with ceiling track hoists.

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual with experience in working within the inpatient health sector.

We are an amazing team and would love to have you join us working togethers to ensure that patients admitted to Marie Therese Neuro-rehabilitation unit have access to a range of activities seven days per week to facilitate maximum potential for all our patients.

Main duties of the job

The role involves working with the inpatient therapy team providing and delivering a programme of creative, social, and therapeutic activities; under the guidance and supervision of the occupational therapy team physiotherapy team and nursing team

The post holder will be responsible for planning meaningful activities, using practical, communication and creative skills to provide a flexible programme of groups and individual activities on and off the ward the activities provided will vary depending on the age, culture, interests, gender and needs of the patient group. This will be informed by close multi-disciplinary team working, the weekly MDT and  Safety Huddles and may include developing additional skills and working relationships with other colleagues, including volunteers, to expand the social and recreational opportunities available in line with evolving service needs.
