An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Respiratory Team at Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
The team is committed to delivering high quality care to patients and their families who have Respiratory conditions in the acute hospital and community setting.
Applicants must be motivated and dynamic and have the ability to make decisions independently and manage respiratory patients.
We are looking for an experienced registered nurse with excellent communication and organisational skills. The applicant should have experience in the management of respiratory patients and be able to provide evidence of this.
The post holder will ensure patients have prompt access to specialist advice and given high standards of evidence based care, intervention and support at all times. Areas include full assessment of patients on acute medical wards, SDEC (Same Day Emergency Care), community outreach visits, Respiratory clinics. We also run the Respiratory Virtual wards for Respiratory conditions.
The post holder will be based in the respiratory team’s office at Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
Main duties of the job
Assessing respiratory patients who attend clinics.
Reviewing patients in a clinic setting.
Carry out research and audit for this post
Reviewing respiratory patients both in a hospital setting and a community setting.
Ensure respiratory patients are on correct treatment underpinned by guidelines.
Running and managing virtual wards with remit.
