Job overview
To provide support for a range of users. This will include planning, organisation and delivery of face to face or virtual support and coaching. Documentation and evaluation of the learning provided is also key task. Although this post is based at James Cook University Hospital there will be the requirement to provide support at another location in Friarage
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the Digital Maternity team providing support to projects, Business as Usual workstreams, and users in the wider organisation.

Leadership and Improvement Training
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. This training programme has been designed to support our staff in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the following training sessions.

The leadership and improvement programme aims to:
- Explore leadership within the NHS
- Promote Trust values and behaviours
- Develop your leadership effectiveness and skills
- Equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead and complete service improvements within the scope of your role.
After you complete these three and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential criteria
- Formal teaching or training qualification or equivalent experience.
- Relevant diploma or significant experience/ expertise in providing essential digital skills training to meet individuals’ diverse needs.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office Applications, clinical systems, PC Environment.
- Proven track record of working as part of a team.
- Skilled negotiator who can motivate and persuade, if required using tact and persuasive skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral, digital)
- Ability to apply digital technology to working practices.
- Highly motivated and committed to the use of computerised information systems within the NHS.
- Skills in managing information and maintaining records.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Information Governance, Data Protection.
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in the NHS and using computerised systems.
- Knowledge and experience in identifying training needs, designing, planning and delivery of training.
- Experience of assessing individual learning needs and designing a programme that reflects different learning styles.
- Confident in the use of Android and Apple devices (iPad, smartphones) and in teaching less confident learners to develop their digital confidence, knowledge and skills.
- Experience of providing 1-1 support and organising small group activities
